Sterile Laminar Flow Depyrogenation Tunnels

Steriline Laminar Flow Depyrogenation Tunnels

Our Laminar Flow Depyrogenation Tunnels efficiently depyrogenate vials, ampoules and cartridges. Further, each tunnel utilizes a continuous process while maintaining an ISO 5 environment throughout the process.

All Tunnels consist of three zones:

  • The inlet zone features 100% unidirectional air flow, and ensures that the glassware is kept clean during transfer. The inlet zone also dries the glassware and preheats the glassware. In addition the inlet zone isolates the glassware preparation room from the heated air of the hot zone
  • The hot zone subjects glassware to the thermal cycle for depyrogenation while under ISO 5 HEPA filtered unidirectional flow conditions.
  • The cooling zone subjects glassware to a required temperature, ensuring that the glassware is discharged into the sterile room. The cooling zone is also provided with 100% HEPA filtered unidirectional flow of air for ISO 5 conditions.

Our wide variety of tunnel sizes ensures a more compact design (versus throughput), excellent energy savings and better control of the process parameters. Steriline has 18 standard tunnel models which include many standard features such as: automatic air balance, air speed monitoring and automatic adjustment, door position monitoring and automatic adjustment, and pipes for particle control and testing. In addition a wide variety of options are available to customize a depyrogenation tunnel to each specific need. Some of the options commonly selected include: sterilizable cooling chamber, automatic discharge of final vials, 21CFR Part 11 compliance, and a variety of validation documentation are available to meet specific customer requirements.
